At Achiiva we are passionate about supporting Goal achievement. But wait, I hear you say “What exactly is a Goal?”. I know there are many theories and concepts related to defining,  capturing and framing Goals but I am not going to get caught up on that. Let’s keep it simple and say that a Goal is something you want to achieve. (That’s why we called the app Achiiva!).

How To Choose A Properous Coaching Niche

If you’re a coach, mentor, speaker, transformational messengers or consultant struggling to nail your niche and speaking topics; getting caught in the “Niche Switch Syndrome”; or finding your prospective clients and customers just aren’t responding to your message and offers, this article is for you.

Getting your niche right is the difference between having clients or not, making money or not. 95% of new coaching clients who come to me complaining about not getting enough clients, or not making enough money, are in the the wrong niche. Then there are the successful coaches making money but feeling dissatisfied.  Both types of coaches tend to think they are in the right niche but on further investigation it becomes apparent that they are in a niche that has very little alignment to their purpose or what they’re really here to do in the world.

3 Keys to Beating Fear that Stops You From Succeeding

Fear is an insidious beast that can sabotage both you and your clients’ success. Ignoring fear can lead to stagnation and lack of achievement.  Beating fear is extremely important when you begin to think about the opportunity costs of not succeeding.

Work out the why?

The first and most important thing you must do to beat any fear that could be holding you back from accomplishing success or achieving your goals is to work out why you are scared. This could be more difficult than you might first think, as your brain is in protection mode and is trying to sabotage you to keep you safe.

Your client's belief system is critically important to their success. As the saying goes "whether you believe you can, or you can't, you're right!".  Whether someone believes they can do something or are entitled to receive the outcome determines whether they are going to complete the actions necessary to move toward success or sabotage themselves along the way.

It also allows the coach to quickly check in with a client between and before a coaching session, saving valuable time that can better be utilised in powerful coaching conversations. It also allows a client to keep the goal front of mind and review their goal more often then if it was written on paper and left at home.

Make 2017 Your Best Relationship Year Ever

It's almost the end of another year. As we draw closer to 2017, many of us will start thinking about how we would like next year to be different. Then, on New Years Eve, when we've most likely had too much to drink, we will ask each other, "What's your New Years resolution"?

What will your answer be? Will it be giving up alcohol, getting fit or losing some excess weight? Will it be travelling overseas, buying a new car or changing jobs? Or will it be time to make a major life decision around your most important relationship?
